David Weldon Perona, 75 of Tonawanda
died at his home on October 5th, 2020. Husband of Rosellen M. Perona
(nee Danielsen). Loving father of Deanna L. (Chester) Drabek, David
M. (Micci) Perona and Michelle (John) Marquez. Proud grandfather of
Emily (John) Wroblewski, Megan (Eddie) Casewell, Nicole (Tyler)
Counsellor, Heather Perona, Brandon Mueller, Brianna Marquez, Michael
Perona, James Mueller, Brook Perona, Bryce Perona. Great-grandfather
of Noah, Scarlett and Logan.
Brother of John (Amber) Perona,
Robert (Patty) Perona, Gary Perona, Michael (Marquita) Perona. Also
survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited
on Wednesday October 14, 2020 to the Vanguard Christian Church, 375
Payne Avenue, North Tonawanda from 3:30 to 5:00 followed by services
at 5:00 p.m.
David was a U.S. Navy Silent Service Veteran. He
retired from the Buffalo News where he worked as a Circulation
Director. He was a loving father and Super Grandfather and
Great-Grandfather. He was a member of the Vanguard Christian Church.
His Christian Faith was his Strength. He is now in the arms of his
Savior, Jesus Christ.

I have fond memories of Dave who I worked with at the Tribune. I also had the pleasure of playing Fastpitch softball for many years with him as he was our first baseman. He was a devout Christian and remained resolute in his convictions and love for his family, friends, and his country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave's family and friends. God bless one and all during this time of transition and loss.
