Robert A Penberthy

Bob died peacefully at Alta Bates Hospital after a prolonged illness  on July 16, 2017 he was 79.  Bob was born February 18, 1938 in San Diego California to loving parents John A. and Leah R. Penberthy (deceased) 

Bob worked at the Richmond Independent newspaper, the Oakland Tribune as a District Advisor, until closure, and later worked at Hertz Rental Car until Retirement.

Bob loved his family, friends, and also loved old cars, especially his Valiant. Bob is survived by his Domestic Partner Susan Davis, his brother John Penberthy (spouse Susan Brahan, nieces Megan and Mollie), ex-wife Nedra Kohlberg and his daughter Renee Schultz (spouse Mike; Grandchildren: Vanessa Kendrick and spouse James; Sabrina Gullotto. Great granddaughter, Alani Kendrick) and son Jeffery Penberthy (spouse Rachel Penberthy; Grandchildren: Andrew Penberthy (deceased), Chloe Penberthy).
