March 17, 1941 -September 8, 2015
Michael Lynn Luihn, died Wednesday September 8th
2015 at Woodbridge CA. Michael was born March 17, 1941 in Alameda
County. He is survived by his wife Linda and his son, Michael Luihn of
Reno, NV; daughter, Michele L. Larson and son-in-law, Bruce Larson and
grandson, Nicholas of Galt , and Walt Luihn and sister-in-law, Darci.
Michael worked for the Oakland Tribune
as district Adviser for over 30 years out of the Walnut Creek office.
His district covered much of Alamo, Danville area. He later went on to
be the Teamster Union Vice President/Business Rep for Local 96
representing the Tribune employees. Michael for many years worked
alongside Local 96 President and friend Elton Bovey, where he learned
his excellent negotiating skills in handling union business. Mikes
dedication in the well being of the Union members in the area of Health
and Welfare and Retirement benefits; earned him much respect from all
his peers that included Tribune management. He will be missed by his
many friends and family.
Service in Memoriam will be held September 22, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Woodbridge Crossing Restaurant at 18939 N Lower Sacramento Rd, Woodbridge, CA 95258 (209) 366-1800.
