I had the honor of working with Tony when I first started at the Tribune as a part time employee back in 1976. I also got to meet some of his sons as well, including Bob and Rick at the Tribune, John who was working at a gas station in Pinole, and some of his other sons that were running a pizza restaurant in Concord. As was my father, I remember Tony being a WWII Veteran and I will always hold him in high honor for that. Tony will be missed dearly by all of us who ever had the pleasure of working with him.
