Born Fernand Emanuel Abert on January 30, 1927 to parents Fernand A. and Ruth Abert, he was 91. Bill was laid to rest in Ukiah CA. Bill was a long time Oakland Tribune employee spending most of his years in the circulation Department (Home Delivery). He remained a loyal Tribune Go-Getters member after his retirement. He is survived by his wife Betty, three children daughters; Cheryl, Claudene, and Clarice and 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
